Laurier Café & Wine is a New American, neighborhood bistro. Our focus is finding fresh, seasonal, high quality foods and preparing dishes that let the ingredients shine. Gary Fuller and Kelly Kimberly are Laurier’s owners. Fuller, a former telecommunications executive, graduated from the renowned French Culinary Institute in New York upon deciding in his mid-forties to pursue his love of cooking. This is Fuller and Kimberly’s first restaurant. Most of our meats are all-natural and hormone-free, from Niman Ranch in California. Fresh fish is flown in regularly. Our customers like our thoughtfully prepared fresh vegetables and other accompaniments as well as the entrees. Laurier’s award-winning wine list (Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2003-2007; The Houston Chronicle’s Ultimate Wine List in 2003) features wines from smaller wineries in California, Oregon, Washington, France, Italy and New Zealand and Australia. There is a nice wine-by-the-glass selection as well as several 375 ml bottles. Laurier also offers a full bar and nightly drink specials. The restaurant accommodates 55 people indoors, 30 on the dinner patio and 20 on the bar patio.
